TEDx Wolverhampton
I founded TEDxWolverhampton in 2018 after successfully applying for the licence. I applied because I wanted to bring something positive to my home town of Wolverhampton and put the city on the map for all the right reasons!
Now, each year, with the support of my amazing team, we create a platform for some amazing speakers and bring Ideas Worth Spreading to hundreds of local people!
Periods Matter.
I founded PeriodsMatter (originally The Homeless Period - Wolverhampton) in January 2018 to support homeless women experiencing period poverty. The charity quickly grew and we now support all women and girls experiencing period poverty across the city.
Fawcett West Midlands
Fawcett West Midlands is a local group of the Fawcett Society and campaigns for gender equality. I founded the group in September 2018 (gosh, that was a busy year!!) and have seen membership grow over the years. We’ve supported many local, regional and national campaigns and fundraise for selected women’s charities each year.
Magistrate
I have been sitting as a magistrate for 15 years and find it an incredibly rewarding volunteer role. I sit in both Adult and Family Court as Presiding Justice. If you have always wanted to know more or are interested in applying, please visit the website below!
Women of Wolverhampton
Women of Wolverhampton (WOW) is the leading network for women and women’s organisations in Wolverhampton. We provide a platform for women to voice their views, influence decision-making and participate fully in city life. Our aim is to facilitate positive change in the lives of women in Wolverhampton by advancing gender equality and full participation in city life.
